Better Resurrection I

Faith is like a two-edged sword. It doesn’t only receive; faith also rejects. Many believers only understand the side of faith that receives divine intervention, but there is another side: faith sometimes rejects human intervention that comes from pity, in order to enter into a better resurrection.

Hebrews 11 shows that there are two ways faith can move the power of God in a situation. Faith can either produce deliverance or resurrection. Deliverance changes your situation;
Resurrection changes you.

There are moments when we sincerely need God to deliver us from a difficult circumstance. However, there are believers whose real need is not another deliverance or another handout. What they truly need is the transforming power of God that lifts them into a new level of life where they no longer depend on pity, sympathy, or temporary solutions.

The Bible says that while some received deliverance, others by the same faith refused deliverance so they could obtain a better resurrection. This means you must discern moments when faith should not settle for quick relief but should reach for the deeper work of transformation God wants to do in you.

The faith that presses into a better resurrection is bold and patient. It refuses self-preservation and stretches toward the best that God has made available, not just the convenient provision in the moment.
