We celebrate Christ's first coming ("the grace of God has appeared" Titus 2:11 NIV) while eagerly anticipating His second coming ("waiting for the blessed hope" verse 13). Christmas is a reminder that the world's story is not over. The Savior who came in humility will return in glory. This hope gives us the power to live "self-controlled, upright and godly lives" today.
