The Gospel Reset

Devotion: Let's reset to the foundation. Salvation is:

By GRACE - unearned, undeserved favor. You can't earn it. You don't deserve it. God gives it freely.

Through FAITH - trusting Jesus alone. Not Jesus plus your good works. Not Jesus plus your baptism. Not Jesus plus your church attendance. Jesus. Alone.

NOT of YOURSELVES - it's not your achievement. You didn't contribute. You didn't help. You were dead in sin; He made you alive.

A GIFT - gifts are received, not earned. You don't work for a gift. You don't deserve a gift. You simply receive it with gratitude.

Not of WORKS - nothing you do saves you. Not tithing. Not serving. Not being a good person. Works are the evidence of salvation, not the means.

If you're trusting anything other than Jesus' finished work on the cross, you're not saved. If you're relying on your baptism, your church, your morality, your religion—you're trusting the wrong thing.

The gospel is shockingly simple: Jesus paid it all. You contribute nothing. You trust Him completely. You receive the gift. That's it.

Have you received the gift? Or are you still trying to earn it? If you've been trying to save yourself through works, stop. Trust Jesus. Receive the gift. Rest in His finished work.

Today, reset to the gospel. Salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.

Declaration: "I am saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. I trust Jesus' finished work, not my efforts. I rest in His righteousness, not mine."

Prayer: "Jesus, thank You for the gift of salvation. I can't earn it. I don't deserve it. But I receive it. I trust Your finished work on the cross. I rest in Your grace. Thank You for saving me. In Your name, amen."
