Keeping Godly Relationships

DAY 4 OF 4

BE THERE

When sealing marriage vows, the intending couple will be made to pledge their allegiance in good and bad times. This shouldn't be applicable to just marriage. Every Godly relationship should experience the joy of companionship in the good and bad times. Parents should be there for their children and vice versa, colleagues at work should be willing to uphold the other in their down times, neighbours should be ready to pray for one another when passing through challenges and friends should be ready to stand by themselves when they are

Your comforting attitude will edify your partner in difficult times. It is not only in the rosy days that you should be proud of being connected to a person. You should also express your commitment to a relationship when there are trials and unexpected situations. In your words, actions, prayers, and even presence, you should always comfort each other with the word of God, assuring the other of God's unfailing promises. This way, you are edifying yourselves and growing together in hope that better days are ahead.

Grow together in the love of God. Do not confess your commitment in words alone but also in your actions, especially in overwhelming situations. Jesus has laid a perfect example for us by being there for us at all times, just as He promised. You are that Godly friend, colleague, or partner when you can practically BE THERE.

LET'S PRAY!

Thank You, Heavenly Father, for Your Word. O Lord, give me the grace to live by understanding and to depart from evil. Endow me with Your discernment to never be a companion of fools but to walk with the wise and head for wisdom. Help me to perform my roles dutifully to engineer Godly relationships around me and to be practically there for my friends, colleagues, and partner, in Jesus' name! AMEN!
