Hopeful.
Day 5 – Hope That Never Fades
Reflection:
In our culture, hope is often little more than wishful thinking — hoping to win the lottery, land a dream job, or escape hardship. But Christian hope is different. It rests on a solid foundation: the promises of God. Abraham, Martha, Paul, and Jeremiah all faced circumstances that felt hopeless, yet they clung to God’s faithfulness. Real hope is an expectant confidence that God will do what He has said — even when everything around us says otherwise.
Action Step:
Write down three traits of God’s character (for example: loving, faithful, compassionate). Next to each one, note a time in your own life when you experienced it. Keep the list visible as a reminder that your future is secure in Him.
Finding Freedom in Jesus was written to guide both individuals and small groups. Each chapter includes practices like this one — helping you personally root your hope in Christ while sparking honest conversations about how we live out hope together.
We’ve seen students go through this devotional and come out fully transformed — learning who they are in Christ and living with a new confidence and joy.
