DAY THREE: THE SPIRIT OF ADOPTION

THE WORD

• Psalm 27:10 – “When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.”
• Romans 8:15 – “For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry, ‘Abba, Father.’”
• 1 John 3:1 – “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.”

Rejection often makes us feel like orphans, abandoned and alone. But the Holy Spirit reveals that we are not alone — we are adopted into God’s family. Our identity is no longer tied to human approval but to the love of our Father, who calls us His children.

The Spirit cries within us, “Abba, Father,” silencing every lie of abandonment. He strengthens our hearts with the assurance that no rejection can remove us from God’s love. Through Him, we experience the full reality of our adoption, which brings profound healing, security, and peace.

Furthermore, being God’s child reminds us that our ultimate security does not depend on human relationships. The Spirit teaches us to rest in His love and guidance, to grow in confidence, and to walk boldly in our purpose, knowing that God’s family includes us completely.

I, Marcus, often felt like I didn’t belong anywhere. I struggled with feelings of exclusion and inadequacy. But the Spirit of adoption taught me to cry, “Abba Father.” Now I know, even when people push me away, I am fully embraced by my Heavenly Father.

God walked me through this journey patiently, teaching me to lean on Him instead of seeking human approval. Each time feelings of rejection arose, He reminded me that I am His child, precious and valued. Over time, I experienced true security and peace that could not be shaken by people’s opinions, and I learned to rest fully in His love.

DECLARATION

I am a child of God, adopted and loved by the Father. Yes me! Now shout up devil i belong to Jesus Christ lord and redeemer.

PRAYER FOCUS

Abba Father, thank You for adopting me into Your family through Christ. Holy Spirit, heal my orphan wounds and silence every lie of rejection. Fill me with the assurance of Your love and salvation.

Lord, help me live confidently as Your child, secure in Your affection and protection. Strengthen me to trust Your plan in every situation and to depend fully on Your guidance. Let Your Spirit empower me to walk in freedom, joy, and purpose, and may my life be a testimony of Your healing, love, and faithfulness, In Jesus’ name, Amen.
