Find Hope in God's Unfailing LoveSample

Learning To Love
“Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.” 1 John 4:7 (NLT)
Love is a skill. If you often struggle to love well, here’s some good news: It can be learned. That means the more you practice, the better you will become at it.
In fact, God wants you to become a master at loving. He wouldn’t tell you to love others if he wasn’t going to help you do just that.
Do you want to be known as a person of extraordinary love? Then rely on God’s Word and the Holy Spirit to teach and enable you to love others.
To become extraordinary at it, you need to practice it over and over again. Loving beyond what seems humanly possible can feel awkward at first, but God’s supernatural love working through you makes the impossible, possible. The more you love like this, the better you will become at loving unconditionally.
The Bible says in 1 John 4:7 that, “love comes from God” (NLT). When you practice and commit to loving others like Jesus loves you, they will take notice and will be drawn to God, too.

About this Plan

God wanted you alive just so he could love you! The Bible repeatedly tells us that God is love—not that he has love; he is love. It is his nature, his character. In this 30-day reading plan, you’ll learn more about God’s love for you and how you can love him and others with his help. You’ll discover that the only reason there is any love in the universe is because your Creator is a God of love. And the only reason you are capable of giving and receiving love is because God made you in his image.
