30 Moments in 30 Days With JesusSample

The Blind Man
Then Jesus placed His hands on the man’s eyes again, and his eyes were opened. His sight was completely restored, and he could see everything clearly.
When Jesus healed this blind man, it didn’t happen instantly. That alone makes this story stand out. Usually, Jesus spoke a word or touched someone once, and healing followed. But here, we see something different.
First, Jesus leads the man out of the village, away from the noise. Then He places His hands on the man’s eyes. When the man opens them, he can see—but only partially. Jesus touches him once more, and this time, his sight is fully restored.
It’s easy to wonder why Jesus healed him in stages. Was it intentional? Couldn’t He have done it all at once?
Maybe the better question is this—what if the process was part of the healing?
Sometimes we expect God to move instantly. We want clarity right now, resolution today, transformation overnight. But faith often grows in the waiting. Trust gets built in the in-between. And even when it feels slow, Jesus is still at work.
The man didn’t walk away in frustration when his vision was only halfway there. He stayed with Jesus. And Jesus, in his faithfulness, didn’t leave him until the healing was complete.
Maybe you’re in a season where things feel incomplete. You’ve started to see something new, but it’s still blurry. Don’t assume God is done just because it isn’t all clear yet. Jesus may not always rush the process, but he never abandons it.
Today, stay close to Jesus even if you're still waiting. Trust that He sees what you need, and that He’s not finished. Healing may come in steps, but He always brings it to completion.
