Reflection:
Prayer is not simply reciting words. It is entering the presence of the Lord. For young people—often caught in pressure, fear, and confusion—prayer can become a quiet refuge where they are heard, known, and held. Teaching prayer is not teaching formulas; it is inviting them to sit with God in honesty. We remind them that God is not distant or angry but already present, eager to hear their longings, their anger, their hopes, and their joys. Thomas Keeting taught that sitting in prayer was the “divine therapy”, where God heals us. In prayer, young people learn not just to speak but to listen—to trust that God meets them in the very center of their real lives.
