“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6 ESV)
In everything Jesus said and did, God the Father was also made visible to people. Anyone who wants to know God must look to Jesus. Shortly before His death on the cross, Jesus encouraged His disciples. He did not want them to be confused by what was about to happen (John 14:1). Jesus also spoke about the time after His death and resurrection. He would return to heaven, but the disciples would remain connected to Him.
Trust, Jesus said, that I am the way, the truth, and the life. In the world we live in, chaos reigns, and we wonder what is real, who and what is trustworthy. Believe in Me, says Jesus. As the way, I connect you to God. As the truth, I do not feed you falsehoods. And as the life, I connect My divine life to your life forever. You can become confused by everything that happens in the world and in your life. Keep looking and listening to Me, says Jesus. That will give you the certainty and peace you need to stand firm.

Prayer: Thank You, Lord Jesus, that my circumstances and whatever happens in the world cannot sever my connection with You. Help me to continue to trust You and give me strength when life becomes difficult and I am in danger of becoming confused. Amen.
