DAY 55 OF 60

Romans 15
The great mission trip

Paul, after explaining his plans to serve the church in Jerusalem, looks ahead with anticipation to visiting the believers in Rome. He doesn’t picture the trip as a one-sided mission—he expects blessing. His ministry to them will bring encouragement, but their fellowship will also refresh him.

This shows us something vital: ministry is never just a one-way street. Whether teaching, serving, or leading, we give and receive at the same time. When God’s people gather, each person contributes to the life of the other. The Spirit works through all of us, knitting us together in Christ.

Paul also anchors his confidence in Christ. He doesn’t say he’ll arrive in his own strength or gifting, but “in the fullness of Christ’s blessing.” That means the real source of encouragement, joy, and growth is Jesus Himself. Ministry done in His name brings His presence, and His presence brings blessing for all involved.

About this Plan

Romans

Romans is more than a letter of personal salvation—it is a sweeping vision of God’s faithfulness. Paul retells Israel’s story, showing how God’s saving righteousness is revealed in Jesus, uniting Jew and Gentile, and forming a Spirit-filled family. This plan journeys through Romans as Paul unfolds the gospel of God’s new creation, calling believers to live as one people of faith, hope, and love.
