Romans 9
Isaiah and faithfulness
Paul reminds his readers of Isaiah’s prophecy: though Israel was countless, only a remnant would remain faithful. This shows us that God’s plan has never been about numbers, but about His grace. He doesn’t abandon His people—He preserves a remnant.
It can be easy to feel like faith is fading in our world. Churches may seem small compared to the culture around us, and following Jesus may feel lonely at times. But God always keeps a faithful people for Himself. His purposes are not undone by the majority opinion or cultural pressure. He is faithful to preserve, sustain, and fulfil His promises through those who cling to Him by grace.
