Beyond logic

Are you someone who constantly seeks logic and tries to make sense of everything happening around you? I know I am.

It’s almost second nature — most of us are wired that way. In a world flooded with headlines, opinions, and nonstop content from social media, our minds are in overdrive — overthinking, overanalyzing, and trying to connect every dot.

We crave clarity, reason, and resolution. But sometimes, life simply doesn’t offer neat explanations.

There’s a kind of love that defies logic — a love so deep, so unwavering, that it doesn’t rely on sight or proof. This is the kind of love Peter describes in his letter:

Though you have not seen Him, you love Him… You believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy. – 1 Peter 1:8-9 NIV

Peter was writing to believers who never walked with Jesus physically, never saw Him heal the sick, calm the storm, or rise from the grave — yet their faith burned brightly. Their faith produced joy — not ordinary happiness, but an inexpressible, glorious joy that came from knowing their souls were being saved.

This kind of faith is beautiful. It doesn’t depend on signs or wonders. It doesn’t demand constant confirmation. It simply clings to Jesus with trust that cannot be shaken. That’s the kind of faith heaven celebrates — a faith that lives and breathes in the unseen.

In seasons of waiting, in unanswered prayers, in heartache and uncertainty, this verse reminds us that faith is not about what we feel or see, but about who we know God to be.

Jesus may not appear before your eyes, but He is no less real. His promises are still true. His presence is still near.

Today, let this be your challenge: Will you keep loving Jesus even when you don’t see Him? Will you keep believing when prayers go unanswered, when days feel dark, and the road feels long?

God promises to fill you with inexpressible and glorious joy when you do!
