40 Days to Awaken Your Sober Mind

DAY 12 OF 40

Sis, you’re not broken, but your pattern might be, and that can be made right. God doesn’t just want to patch your life back together using what’s old. He wants to rebuild you into something new. God isn’t interested in just improving your habits. He’s offering a brand new heart. A new spirit. A new life.

Change is hard because it’s unfamiliar. But it’s also beautiful. When you choose change and partnering with God, you’re not choosing deprivation; instead, you’re choosing transformation.

In Galatians, we see the analogy of a farmer. The harvest we reap depends on the seeds we plant. The seeds of the Gospel offer us mercy and grace. The fruit of the Holy Spirit gives us the right soil and power to change. Listen, it's a big deal to make different choices, and by taking baby steps, you’ll gain valuable practice. Here’s the good news…with repetition, it gets easier.

Ezekiel reminds us that God does heart work, not just behavior modification. God cares about your inside a lot more than your outside. Romans shows us that this change is tied to resurrection power. You’re not tweaking your routine; you're stepping into a new life that can only be experienced through Jesus.

Choose change. Not because you hate where you’ve been, but because you love where you’re going.

Prayer:
Lord, I’m open to real change. Replace my old desires with new ones. Soften my heart and help me walk in Your strength. You are creating something new and I trust You.

Journal Prompt:
What would it mean for you to believe your desires can actually change? Write a prayer asking God to begin that work inside of you.

About this Plan

40 Days to Awaken Your Sober Mind

Have you found yourself at the end of a long day, wondering, “Is this glass of wine really helping? You’re not alone. Let's awaken your sober mind through presence, grace, and truth. We’ll explore what it means to pause, connect, and live in alignment. We’re going to look at what God’s Word says about freedom, peace, and wholeness. Each day, I encourage you to slow down and really reflect. Let this be more than just a reading. Let it be a rewiring. You are not broken. You’re being rebuilt. One day at a time, one choice at a time.
