Unstuck: The Crucible ProjectSample

Have you ever gone mudding?
Recently, a friend and I (we’ll call him Billy) loaded up our kids and took his Chevy Bronco off-roading at the local dam. Before we left, Billy told me there was one rule when it comes to mudding: never go alone. That meant another buddy met us on the trail with his kids in a bright yellow Jeep.
We had a blast—driving up sand berms and flying out of mud pits. As we pushed deeper in, we got close to the river, approaching a long mudflat. Billy gunned the Bronco. With nothing in our way, we tore across the muddy sand.
Suddenly—thud.
Encroaching water had camouflaged a deep hole. Billy threw it in reverse, then drive, then reverse again. The more he hit the gas, the deeper the tires dug in.
We were stuck.
How about you? Are you stuck?
According to a recent study, 80% of Americans feel stuck in their lives. In another study, over 83% of adult Americans report the highest stress levels since the beginning of the 2020 pandemic.
Even the Apostle Paul got stuck. Feeling stuck leads to feelings of anxiety, sadness, and anger that just make things worse. This week, we will take a look at the things that get us stuck and the Biblical principles that can help us get free.
Challenge: Think of a time in the past when you felt stuck.
We would like to thank Roy Wooten of The Crucible Project for providing the groundwork for this plan.

About this Plan

Sometimes we feel stuck between doing what is right and wrong. But more commonly, we feel stuck trying to make an improvement to our lives that is just not coming easily. What is it like for you when you feel stuck? This plan uses Biblical examples to explore how we get stuck, why we stay stuck, and how we can break free.
