Counting All as JoySample

Everything beautiful in its time
When I was 17, I knew it all. I was wise, clever, full of self and my own confidence, could deal with everything, and knew more than those who were older than me. Thinking back on that now, I can only shake my head and laugh. I knew nothing! But I did know God.
As I look at these verses and reflect on my life and its ups and downs, joys and sadness, I see what I still don’t know; yet, I still rest in confidence that God has made everything beautiful in its time.
I think that through pretty regularly when life’s events arise, because I know that God has made everything beautiful in its time.
As each part of life comes to us charged with its own challenges, opportunities, mysteries, and outcomes, we can rely on Him because He has made everything beautiful in its time.
We cannot resolve the events of life, but we can rely on the One who has, because everything God does endures forever. In God, we can find that forever today, so we can rest in Him—knowing He has all in His hands from the beginning to the end.
