UNSHAKABLE BLESSINGS: WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE in CHRIST

DAY 4 OF 4

The Gift of God's Peace and Rest

One of the most precious gifts God has given you is the gift of peace and rest (John 14:27). In a world full of turmoil that pulls you in a thousand directions, Jesus has promised that you can walk in the same peace as He did when He was on earth. He's given you His peace, so that means you already have it!

In Matthew 11:28, Jesus invites you to come to Him with your burdens, struggles, and anxieties, and He will give you rest. This rest isn't just physical relaxation; it’s a deep, soul-refreshing peace that only He can provide.

The kind of peace Jesus has given you is meant to give you victory, even in the face of dire circumstances. It doesn’t depend on what’s happening around you—it's a bedrock promise. This peace guards your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7) and assures you that you are never alone, even in the midst of hardship. It’s a peace that enables you to trust God, even when life feels chaotic.

Jesus also offers you rest from the heavy burden of trying to earn God’s love through your own efforts. In Christ, you can rest in the finished work of the cross, knowing that salvation is not something you achieve, but something you received as a gift. You no longer need to strive endlessly for approval because God has already accepted you in Christ (Ephesians 1:6).

Additionally, God gives you spiritual rest by providing His presence. The Holy Spirit dwells in you, and through Him, you find strength, comfort, and peace that the world cannot offer.

So release your burdens today. Take the time to rest in God’s peace. The rest He gives is not only a reprieve from the stresses of life, but a deep satisfaction in knowing that you are loved, accepted, and cared for by your Heavenly Father.
