Reset and Recenter: A Christian's Guide to Faith and TechnologySample

Reflect on Your Screen Habits
Each day of this Bible Plan, you’ll have an opportunity to reflect on a few questions and journal your thoughts. Use a notebook, a piece of paper, or your Notes app. If you’re reading this with friends, you can also share your reflections with each other in the Talk It Over section at the end of each Plan day.
Then every few days there will be time built in to pause and reflect a little more on your screen habits. This will help you notice patterns in the ways you use technology and track how your habits are changing.
Let’s start with the following questions. As you reflect, talk with God about what comes to mind.
Journal and Reflect
- How do you feel about your current relationship with social media, television, and your phone, tablet, and computer?
- What is your daily average screen time? How do you feel about that number? How do you hope this changes over time?
Pray
Lord, please guide me through this process of reflection as I begin evaluating my technology habits. I want to use technology for good—to connect in a deeper way with You and with others. Please remove the distractions in my life so I can get to know You better. In Jesus’ name, amen.
