Held in Loneliness
In today’s study, we’ll reflect on the loneliness experienced by Moses, Elijah, and Mary Magdalene—three people who encountered God in their most isolated moments.
Take a moment to slowly read and reflect on the three passages. Pay attention to where they are, how they’re feeling, and how the Lord shows up:
Exodus 3:1-4
🤔 Are there burning bushes in your life—small signs of God’s presence—that you’ve been too distracted to notice?
1 Kings 19:9-13
🤔 How do you typically respond to silence? Could God be using it to speak to you?
John 20:11-16
🤔 How might you become more aware of Jesus calling your name in this season of your life?
About this Plan

Life can leave us feeling alone, wounded, or weary. But the story of Scripture reminds us that even in our lowest moments, we are not abandoned—we are held. In this 5-day journey, teacher and author Scott Sauls gently guides us through how Jesus meets us in our loneliness, holds us with kindness, walks with us through hurt, and gives us strength in weakness. You’re not forgotten. You’re held.
