When You’re Desperate: 21 Days of Honest PrayerSample

This is a prayer for blessing — but it’s not self-centered. The psalmist asks for God’s grace and favor so that His way would be known and His saving power seen across the earth. This is what desperate prayer can look like: longing for God to move in your life in a way that reveals who He is to others.
God’s kindness to us is never meant to stop with us. It’s meant to ripple outward — into our homes, our communities, and to the ends of the earth.
Practice:
Ask God to be gracious to you today. Ask Him to let His face shine on your life in ways that reveal His power and character. Ask that the effect of His presence in you would be undeniable to those around you.
Desperate prayer holds a global vision — it wants God to be known everywhere for who He really is.
Guided Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Today I boldly approach Your throne,
asking for grace to cover my sin,
for mercy that overcomes my failures,
for strength that overpowers my weaknesses.
I ask for Your blessing to rest on my life,
and for Your face to shine upon me.
As You have saved me, save others.
As You have taught me, teach others.
As You have sent me, send others.
Build Your kingdom here,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Show Your power to the nations,
reveal Your glory to those
who have yet to see Your face.

About this Plan

This is a 21-day prayer journey for when you feel stuck, tired, or just ready to get honest with God. Each day gives you a short passage to read, a brief summary, and a simple way to practice real, desperate prayer. We’ll look at moments in Scripture where people cried out to God — not with polished prayers, but with raw, gut-level faith — and learn to pray that way too. Let’s pour out our prayers and see what God does with them.
