5 Prayers for Your Daughter’s School Year

DAY 1 OF 5

You love your daughter deeply. You want her to be confident in who she is and to know God for herself.

But the school year brings its own weight. The rush of mornings. The ache of missed moments. The worry over choices you can’t control.

And so we pray.

As mom to two elementary-aged kids, I created this plan for that sacred space. Those quiet moments when:

  • your heart hopes or aches
  • you don’t know what to say
  • all you can do is speak God’s truth over your daughter

Each day offers a Bible verse and a simple prayer to launch your conversation with God. No perfect words required.

  1. Invite Him into the real places of your daughter’s life. Academic pressures, friendship dynamics, fears, identity, and the daily shaping of her character.
  2. As you pray, pause and listen. Ask God what He sees. Let Him lead the conversation.
  3. Pray as an act of trust. You may not see fruit today, but your prayers are planting seeds. They're taking root. Every word matters. Every moment counts.

With each prayer, you're entrusting your daughter to God and speaking life over her through these simple, sacred conversations.

Let's start with our first prayer.

Courage in the Unknown

God, when my daughter faces new situations that prompt anxiety or nerves, fill her heart with Your courage. Remind her that she never has to face anything alone because You are always right there with her. Replace fears with confidence in Your faithful presence. Show me how to speak courage into her life and keep her safe as she lives courageously. Amen.

About this Plan

5 Prayers for Your Daughter’s School Year

You won’t be there for every moment—when your daughter feels overlooked, when friends hurt her heart, or when she questions her worth. But God will. This 5-day prayer plan from Bible teacher Jen Weaver helps you speak strength and truth over your daughter. Each day offers a Scripture and focused prayer for her confidence, character, wisdom, and deep identity as God’s beloved. This isn’t about perfect outcomes—it’s about trusting God to be present in every step she takes.
