Serve: To Wield Power With Integrity

DAY 3 OF 3

A special joy and happiness are waiting for us if we succeed in understanding and applying this teaching. God always desires to be the Master and Lord of a life where power is not meant to dominate, but to bear fruit. Service should never be seen as the burden of the weak; rather, it should be an expression of human greatness—an act of a life dedicated to alleviating the suffering of others.

What should power be used for? To wield power with integrity, like Jesus did, is to serve, to cleanse, and to help others find reconciliation and freedom. You don’t need a specific position; what you need is the heart and mind to understand your purpose and to make a difference from wherever you are and with whatever you have. Prioritize honor over position.

I believe that their service not only represents the best exercise of power but also functions as an act of worship and an expression of greatness. If this were true, we would be less vulnerable to the dictators of the day and those who seek to manipulate them through addictions, those who wield power to subjugate others and selfishly take advantage, hoping that someone else will clean up their mistakes.

Jesus acknowledged the importance of leadership. It is essential to understand clearly that those in charge are there to serve and guide others toward greater purposes. When God presents Himself to humanity, He embodies both a servant and a king, symbolized as a lion and a lamb. We are called to demonstrate to the world how to use God's delegated power to express His love through service. If we grasp this concept, we will find true happiness.
