The Gospel of MatthewSample

Give It to God
In this world, we’re constantly being asked to carry more—more responsibility, more pressure, more weight. Our families need us. Our jobs expect more. Even our communities lean on us. It can feel like there’s always something else to hold up, fix, or figure out. But God is different.
God isn’t looking to add to our burdens. He’s inviting us to lie them down. While the world piles on, Jesus gently says, Come to Me. He offers something no one else does—true rest. Not just physical rest, but rest for our souls. Rest from guilt. Rest from striving. Rest from the constant pressure to be enough.
God doesn’t need us to have it all together. He wants us to come as we are—tired, worn, and honest. When we surrender our worries, fears, and frustrations to Him, we make space for His peace to enter. He carries what we were never meant to bear alone.
Respond to God’s Word:
Today, pause and take a breath. What’s one burden you can place into His hands right now? Don’t hold back. He’s strong enough to carry it and gentle enough to care. Let Him be the place where your soul finally finds rest.
