What does life cost us?
Have you noticed the cost of blueberries lately? It’s calmed down a lot, but at one point this year it cost $9 for a small punnet!
It seems that every other month the interest rate is in the news, again. It’s gone up ..again.
The cost of living has risen for many Australians and it forces us to think about what we’re spending on and whether it’s really worth it.
The Bible talks about Jesus being the giver of life. Life with Jesus is more precious than gold and no amount of money can buy true life with him.
"the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to us—3 that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ." - 1 John 1:2-3 (ESV)
The cost of living with Jesus has been paid for by Jesus himself. The sin that once separated us from God has now been dealt with through Jesus’ death and resurrection.
He has paid the price so that we can receive a redeemed life, a new life with God where our sins, past present and future, have been forgiven.
