Rest to ResetSample

God’s Blessing
Amazingly, although God created all living creatures and found them good, something was still missing. It was mankind. As a result, He decided to create humanity in His own image. So, on the sixth day, according to Genesis 1:27, God made Adam, and from him, He created Eve.
From the onset, God's vision for Adam and Eve was one of leadership on earth and fellowship with God. As part of the work on earth, they were to "rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground" (Genesis 1:26). As part of this ruling, God blessed them. Interestingly, this was the second blessing pronounced during creation; the first was given to the birds of the sky and the creatures of the sea on the fifth day. As part of the blessing, God instructed Adam and Eve to be "fruitful and multiply." He provided them with the means to be productive and reproduce, ensuring they had a place to live and food to eat.
Before finalizing the creation of all living things in the garden, God took a moment to reflect, noting that everything He had crafted was indeed good. Again, God embraced the rhythm of work, rest, reflection, and abundance.
