The Riches of Forgiveness: Devotions for Girls (I Am Available)Sample

Sometimes people or places appear to be all put together and perfect on the outside. But even if they appear that way, remember that we are all imperfect on the inside and in need of Jesus.
Jesus said in Luke 5:31-32 (NIV) that, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
When Jesus said He has not come to call the righteous or the "healthy", He is talking about people who think they are perfect and don't need Him. Jesus said He has come to call sinners to repentance—those who have open hearts to accept Him and His forgiveness.
Reflection:
When was a time you thought someone was "perfect" or felt you needed to be "perfect"?
Since honesty and asking for forgiveness are really important to the Lord, why can you be real with the Lord and others when you mess up?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You that I am Available. Lord, please forgive me for my sins—when I don't love You or others. I humble myself before You and am in need of You. In Jesus' name, amen.
Action:
Write a letter in your journal to the Lord confessing your sins with Him—ways you have not loved Him or others. Then, ask Him to forgive you and help you.
