Flourish Where You Lead

DAY 3 OF 3

Bold Love Breaks Barriers

Scripture:
“Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said... ‘Could this be the Messiah?’” John 4:28–29 (NIV)

Reflection:
The Samaritan woman had a messy past. Jesus didn’t shy away from hard truths. He didn’t fear confronting difficult topics. He met the woman with both honesty and love. Jesus shows us that we can disrupt cultural norms in our workplaces by addressing hard topics with grace and truth. We can use our influence to create a space where others can feel seen and valued no matter what is going on in their lives or how different their beliefs are from ours.

Jesus’s bold compassion opened a door for the woman’s healing. His presence invited her into transformation. His acceptance of her emboldened her to share her story. Love empowered this wounded woman to break free of isolation and to step courageously into leadership.

Leadership Challenge:
Are you willing to have bold, grace-filled conversations at work–even when they’re uncomfortable?

Leadership Principle:
Bold leaders disrupt harmful norms with truth and compassion, making space for transformation.

Prompt:
What’s one fear or bias holding you back from engaging someone different from you at work?
Name it. Then invite God to help you move through it with courage.

About this Plan

Flourish Where You Lead

Jesus’ radical encounter with the Samaritan woman (John 4:1–45) reveals how leaders can model empathy, inclusivity, and boldness in ways that transform workplace culture. As Christian leaders, we are called to create spaces where all people can flourish.
