Day 1 | INVITATION TO CREATE

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light.” ‭‭ Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Expression is encountering God’s presence and communing with Him while creating. Expression is not limited to writing, drawing, painting, dancing, or editing, but it is a holy invitation to partner with the Creator. He has made you in His image, meaning you can create like Him. We are operating in His likeness as we create!

When you connect with God through Expression, you may feel the need to create right away. Other times, God will give you assignments or ideas to develop after you have spent that time in His presence.

With awe and wonder, you are invited to look to the Creator and recognize your place within this grand design. You are reflecting the nature of God when you express in creativity, so behold the Creator, and create.

PRAYER

Lord, thank You for creating me and all the wonders of this world. I desire to accept and partner in the holy invitation to create with You. Give me Your heart and mind, as You show me what You would like me to create with You. Amen.

APPLICATION

• Ask God, "What is on your heart?"
• As He shows you, begin to express what you are hearing and sensing through your chosen medium. It can be anything! Cooking, writing, singing, design, painting, sewing, carpentry… anything!
