v14" data-usfm="PRO.6.14"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v15" data-usfm="PRO.6.15"><span class="label">15</span><span class="content">Therefore disaster will overtake him in an instant;</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v15" data-usfm="PRO.6.15"><span class="content">he will suddenly be destroyed&#8212;without remedy.</span></span></div><div class="content">There are six things the </span><span class="nd"><span class="content">Lord</span></span><span class="content"> hates,</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v16" witness who pours out lies</span></span></div><div class="q3"><span class="verse v19" data-usfm="PRO.6.19"><span class="content">and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.</span></span></div><div class="s1"><span class="heading">Warning Against Adultery</span></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v19" data-usfm="PRO.6.19"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v20" data-usfm="PRO.6.20"><span class="label">20</span><span class="content">My son, keep your father&#8217;s command</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v20" data-usfm="PRO.6.20"><span class="content">and do not forsake your mother&#8217;s teaching.</span></span></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v20" data-usfm="PRO.6.20"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v21" data-usfm="PRO.6.21"><span class="label">21</span><span class="content">Bind them always on your heart;</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v21" data-usfm="PRO.6.21"><span class="content">fasten them around your neck.</span></span></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v21" data-usfm="PRO.6.21"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v22" data-usfm="PRO.6.22"><span class="label">22</span><span class="content">When you walk, they will guide you;</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v22" data-usfm="PRO.6.22"><span class="content">when you sleep, they will watch over you;</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v22" data-usfm="PRO.6.22"><span class="content">when you awake, they will speak to you.</span></span></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v22" data-usfm="PRO.6.22"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v23" data-usfm="PRO.6.23"><span class="label">23</span><span class="content">For this command is a lamp,</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v23" data-usfm="PRO.6.23"><span class="content">this teaching is a light,</span></span></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v23" data-usfm="PRO.6.23"><span class="content">and correction and instruction</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v23" data-usfm="PRO.6.24"><span class="content">from the smooth talk of a wayward woman.</span></span></div><div class="b"></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v24" data-usfm="PRO.6.24"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v25" data-usfm="PRO.6.25"><span class="label">25</span><span class="content">Do not lust in your heart after her beauty</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v25" data-usfm="PRO.6.25"><span class="content">or let her captivate you with her eyes.</span></span></div><div class="b"></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v25" data-usfm="PRO.6.25"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v26" data-usfm="PRO.6.26"><span class="label">26</span><span class="content">For a prostitute can be had for a loaf of bread,</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v26" data-usfm="PRO.6.26"><span class="content">but another man&#8217;s wife preys on your very life.</span></span></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v26" data-usfm="PRO.6.26"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v27" data-usfm="PRO.6.27"><span class="label">27</span><span class="content">Can a man scoop fire into his lap</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v27" data-usfm="PRO.6.27"><span class="content">without his clothes being burned?</span></span></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v27" data-usfm="PRO.6.27"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v28" data-usfm="PRO.6.28"><span class="label">28</span><span class="content">Can a man walk on hot coals</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v28" data-usfm="PRO.6.28"><span class="content">without his feet being scorched?</span></span></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v28" data-usfm="PRO.6.28"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v29" data-usfm="PRO.6.29"><span class="label">29</span><span class="content">So is he who sleeps with another man&#8217;s wife;</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v29" data-usfm="PRO.6.29"><span class="content">no one who touches her will go unpunished.</span></span></div><div class="b"></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v29" data-usfm="PRO.6.29"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v30" data-usfm="PRO.6.30"><span class="label">30</span><span class="content">People do not despise a thief if he steals</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v30" data-usfm="PRO.6.30"><span class="content">to satisfy his hunger when he is starving.</span></span></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v30" data-usfm="PRO.6.30"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v31" data-usfm="PRO.6.31"><span class="label">31</span><span class="content">Yet if he is caught, he must pay sevenfold,</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v31" data-usfm="PRO.6.31"><span class="content">though it costs him all the wealth of his house.</span></span></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v31" data-usfm="PRO.6.31"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v32" data-usfm="PRO.6.32"><span class="label">32</span><span class="content">But a man who commits adultery has no sense;</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v32" data-usfm="PRO.6.32"><span class="content">whoever does so destroys himself.</span></span></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v32" data-usfm="PRO.6.32"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v33" data-usfm="PRO.6.33"><span class="label">33</span><span class="content">Blows and disgrace are his lot,</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v33" data-usfm="PRO.6.33"><span class="content">and his shame will never be wiped away.</span></span></div><div class="b"></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v33" data-usfm="PRO.6.33"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v34" data-usfm="PRO.6.34"><span class="label">34</span><span class="content">For jealousy arouses a husband&#8217;s fury,</span></span></div><div data-usfm="PRO.6.34"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v35" data-usfm="PRO.6.35"><span class="label">35</span><span class="content">He will not accept any compensation;</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v35" data-usfm="PRO.6.35"><span class="content">he will refuse a bribe, however great it is.</span></span></div>

         <div class="label">19</div><div class="s1"><span class="heading">Threefold Hallelujah Over Babylon&#8217;s Fall</span></div><div class="p"><span class="content">  </span><span class="verse v1" data-usfm="REV.19.1"><span class="label">1</span><span class="content">After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude in heaven shouting:</span></span></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v1" data-usfm="REV.19.1"><span class="content">&#8220;Hallelujah!</span></span></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v1" data-usfm="REV.19.1"><span class="content">Salvation and glory and power belong to our God,</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v1" data-usfm="REV.19.1"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v2" data-usfm="REV.19.2"><span class="label">2</span><span class="content">for true and just are his judgments.</span></span></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v2" data-usfm="REV.19.2"><span class="content">He has condemned the great prostitute</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v2" data-usfm="REV.19.2"><span class="content">who corrupted the earth by her adulteries.</span></span></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v2" data-usfm="REV.19.2"><span class="content">He has avenged on her the blood of his servants.&#8221;</span></span></div><div class="p"><span class="verse v2" data-usfm="REV.19.2"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v3" data-usfm="REV.19.3"><span class="label">3</span><span class="content">And again they shouted:</span></span></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v3" data-usfm="REV.19.3"><span class="content">&#8220;Hallelujah!</span></span></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v3" data-usfm="REV.19.3"><span class="content">The smoke from her goes up for ever and ever.&#8221;</span></span></div><div class="p"><span class="verse v3" data-usfm="REV.19.3"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v4" data-usfm="REV.19.4"><span class="label">4</span><span class="content">The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God, who was seated on the throne. And they cried:</span></span></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v4" data-usfm="REV.19.4"><span class="content">&#8220;Amen, Hallelujah!&#8221;</span></span></div><div class="p"><span class="verse v4" data-usfm="REV.19.4"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v5" data-usfm="REV.19.5"><span class="label">5</span><span class="content">Then a voice came from the throne, saying:</span></span></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v5" data-usfm="REV.19.5"><span class="content">&#8220;Praise our God,</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v5" data-usfm="REV.19.5"><span class="content">all you his servants,</span></span></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v5" data-usfm="REV.19.5"><span class="content">you who fear him,</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v5" data-usfm="REV.19.5"><span class="content">both great and small!&#8221;</span></span></div><div class="p"><span class="verse v5" data-usfm="REV.19.5"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v6" data-usfm="REV.19.6"><span class="label">6</span><span class="content">Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting:</span></span></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v6" data-usfm="REV.19.6"><span class="content">&#8220;Hallelujah!</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v6" data-usfm="REV.19.6"><span class="content">For our Lord God Almighty reigns.</span></span></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v6" data-usfm="REV.19.6"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v7" data-usfm="REV.19.7"><span class="label">7</span><span class="content">Let us rejoice and be glad</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v7" data-usfm="REV.19.7"><span class="content">and give him glory!</span></span></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v7" data-usfm="REV.19.7"><span class="content">For the wedding of the Lamb has come,</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v7" data-usfm="REV.19.7"><span class="content">and his bride has made herself ready.</span></span></div><div class="q1"><span class="verse v7" data-usfm="REV.19.7"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v8" data-usfm="REV.19.8"><span class="label">8</span><span class="content">Fine linen, bright and clean,</span></span></div><div class="q2"><span class="verse v8" data-usfm="REV.19.8"><span class="content">was given her to wear.&#8221;</span></span></div><div class="qm"><span class="verse v8" data-usfm="REV.19.8"><span class="content">(Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of God&#8217;s holy people.)</span></span></div><div class="p"><span class="verse v8" data-usfm="REV.19.8"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v9" data-usfm="REV.19.9"><span class="label">9</span><span class="content">Then the angel said to me, &#8220;Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!&#8221; And he added, &#8220;These are the true words of God.&#8221;</span></span></div><div class="p"><span class="verse v9" data-usfm="REV.19.9"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v10" data-usfm="REV.19.10"><span class="label">10</span><span class="content">At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, &#8220;Don&#8217;t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus.&#8221;</span></span></div><div class="s1"><span class="heading">The Heavenly Warrior Defeats the Beast</span></div><div class="p"><span class="verse v10" data-usfm="REV.19.10"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v11" data-usfm="REV.19.11"><span class="label">11</span><span class="content">I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. </span></span><span class="verse v12" data-usfm="REV.19.12"><span class="label">12</span><span class="content">His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. </span></span><span class="verse v13" data-usfm="REV.19.13"><span class="label">13</span><span class="content">He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. </span></span><span class="verse v14" data-usfm="REV.19.14"><span class="label">14</span><span class="content">The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. </span></span><span class="verse v15" data-usfm="REV.19.15"><span class="label">15</span><span class="content">Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. &#8220;He will rule them with an iron scepter.&#8221;</span><span class="note f"><span class="label">#</span><span class=" body"><span class="fr">19:15 </span><span class="ft">Psalm 2:9</span></span></span><span class="content"> He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. </span></span><span class="verse v16" data-usfm="REV.19.16"><span class="label">16</span><span class="content">On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:</span></span></div><div class="pc"><span class="verse v16" data-usfm="REV.19.16"><span class="content">king of kings and lord of lords.</span></span></div><div class="p"><span class="verse v16" data-usfm="REV.19.16"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v17" data-usfm="REV.19.17"><span class="label">17</span><span class="content">And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, &#8220;Come, gather together for the great supper of God, </span></span><span class="verse v18" data-usfm="REV.19.18"><span class="label">18</span><span class="content">so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and the mighty, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, great and small.&#8221;</span></span></div><div class="p"><span class="verse v18" data-usfm="REV.19.18"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v19" data-usfm="REV.19.19"><span class="label">19</span><span class="content">Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army. </span></span><span class="verse v20" data-usfm="REV.19.20"><span class="label">20</span><span class="content">But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. </span></span><span class="verse v21" data-usfm="REV.19.21"><span class="label">21</span><span class="content">The rest were killed with the sword coming out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.</span></span></div>

After that, he must be set free for a short time.</span></span></div><div class="p"><span class="verse v3" data-usfm="REV.20.3"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v4" data-usfm="REV.20.4"><span class="label">4</span><span class="content">I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They</span><span class="note f"><span class="label">#</span><span class=" body"><span class="fr">20:4 </span><span class="ft">Or </span><span class="fqa">God; I also saw those who</span></span></span><span class="content"> had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. This is the first resurrection. </span></span><span class="verse v6" data-usfm="REV.20.6"><span class="label">6</span><span class="content">Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.</span></span></div><div class="s1"><span class="heading">The Judgment of Satan</span></div><div class="p"><span class="verse v6" data-usfm="REV.20.6"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v7" data-usfm="REV.20.7"><span class="label">7</span><span class="content">When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison </span></span><span class="verse v8" data-usfm="REV.20.8"><span class="label">8</span><span class="content">and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth&#8212;Gog and Magog&#8212;and to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. </span></span><span class="verse v9" data-usfm="REV.20.9"><span class="label">9</span><span class="content">They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God&#8217;s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. </span></span><span class="verse v10" data-usfm="REV.20.10"><span class="label">10</span><span class="content">And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.</span></span></div><div class="s1"><span class="heading">The Judgment of the Dead</span></div><div class="p"><span class="verse v10" data-usfm="REV.20.10"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v11" data-usfm="REV.20.11"><span class="label">11</span><span class="content">Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. </span></span><span class="verse v12" data-usfm="REV.20.12"><span class="label">12</span><span class="content">And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. God&#8217;s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. </span></span><span class="verse v7" data-usfm="REV.21.7"><span class="label">7</span><span class="content">Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. </span></span><span class="verse v8" data-usfm="REV.21.8"><span class="label">8</span><span class="content">But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars&#8212;they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.&#8221;</span></span></div><div class="s1"><span class="heading">The New Jerusalem, the Bride of the Lamb</span></div><div class="p"><span class="verse v8" data-usfm="REV.21.8"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v9" data-usfm="REV.21.9"><span class="label">9</span><span class="content">One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, &#8220;Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.&#8221; </span></span><span class="verse v10" data-usfm="REV.21.10"><span class="label">10</span><span class="content">And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. </span></span><span class="verse v11" data-usfm="REV.21.11"><span class="label">11</span><span class="content">It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. </span></span><span class="verse v12" data-usfm="REV.21.12"><span class="label">12</span><span class="content">It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass.</span></span></div><div class="p"><span class="verse v21" data-usfm="REV.21.21"><span class="content">  </span></span><span class="verse v22" data-usfm="REV.21.22"><span class="label">22</span><span class="content">I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. </span></span><span class="verse v23" data-usfm="REV.21.23"><span class="label">23</span><span class="content">The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. </span></span><span class="verse v24" data-usfm="REV.21.24"><span class="label">24</span><span class="content">The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. </span></span><span class="verse v25" data-usfm="REV.21.25"><span class="label">25</span><span class="content">On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there. </span></span><span class="verse v26" data-usfm="REV.21.26"><span class="label">26</span><span class="content">The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. </span></span><span class="verse v27" data-usfm="REV.21.27"><span class="label">27</span><span class="content">Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb&#8217;s book of life.</span></span></div>
