God’s Strengthening Word: Being Renewed by the Holy SpiritSample

Introduction
Acts 3:1–10: Outside the Temple in Jerusalem, Peter and John encounter a lame man begging for money, and Peter heals him.
Today’s Key Verse: Acts 3:8b
He went into the Temple with them, walking and jumping and praising God.
Reflect
In biblical times, people with physical ailments were considered unclean and were not allowed to enter the Temple. How does the man react after he was healed? How do the people who recognized the man react? How does Peter’s healing of the man at the Beautiful Gate demonstrate the power of faith in Jesus? In what ways have you experienced this power?
Pray
Lord Jesus, continue to guide me each day so that my faith increases. Teach me to share your love, compassion, hope, and healing with all people. In your holy name, I pray. Amen.
Tomorrow’s Reading
Acts 4:1–22: Peter and John are arrested for teaching about Jesus.
