David, who wrote Psalm 139, is comforted because God knows everything about him and he cannot escape God’s presence. He realizes that not everything about him is good, but he wants God to identify it and lead him in the direction of correcting it. Correction usually isn’t an enjoyable experience, but David doesn’t shy away from it. He doesn’t want anything to stand between himself and God.
