Lessons From DonkeysSample

It’s All About Jesus
Say to the daughter of Zion, “Behold, your king is coming to you, humble, and mounted on a donkey.” Matthew 21:5 (ESV).
Jesus’s entry into Jerusalem on a donkey wasn’t a random choice—it fulfilled prophecy and revealed His character. The donkey didn’t receive the praise—the crowd worshiped the One it carried.
You are called to carry Jesus in your life—to reflect His humility, grace, and power. It’s not about your glory or recognition. It’s about Jesus. Your life should always point to Him.
Are you focused on bringing glory to Jesus, or have you become distracted by your own plans and recognition?
Prayer: Father God, please remind me daily that life is not about my success or reputation, but about lifting up Jesus. Help me carry his presence with humility and live in a way that always points back to Him. In Jesus' name, Amen.

About this Plan

Donkeys might not seem like spiritual mentors, but in the Bible, God used them to teach us lessons. This 3-day devotional will guide you through three unique Bible stories involving donkeys. Each one contains a different lesson about hearing God’s voice, following His lead, and remembering that it’s not about us—it’s all about Jesus. Can God use even a donkey to speak truth into your life? Absolutely. So open your heart—and maybe get ready to say “Amen” or even “Hee-Haw!”
