Prayers to Cope With DepressionSample

Joy Is on the Way
And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
1 Peter 5:10
Lord,
Pain and sorrow go on and on with no relief. When I try to climb out of the pit, I sink even deeper than before. I grow afraid that I’ll never mend. My heart yearns for peace and to experience the joys of life once more.
Help me to trust You are holding me and carrying me to freedom even now. Give me a fresh assurance that “weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning” (Psalm 30:5). Sustain a tenacious faith that believes in Jesus’ power to save. Restore my hope. Fill me with “inexpressible and glorious joy” by Your Spirit (1 Peter 1:8). Your love is life.
Amen.
