The Shift: Part 4Sample

Guarding Your Heart
Your heart is like the control center of your life. What you allow in will shape your thoughts, actions, and ultimately, your destiny. That’s why guarding your heart is so important, especially when it comes to spiritual ties.
The enemy knows that if he can get to your heart, he can influence every part of your life. That’s why he uses things like toxic relationships, media, and even your own thoughts to try to keep you bound. But you have the power to shut those things out and protect your heart with the truth of God’s Word.
Guarding your heart doesn’t mean isolating yourself or living in fear. It means being intentional about what you allow to influence you. Spend time in prayer, worship, and the Word, filling your heart with things that draw you closer to Christ.
Proverbs was written as a collection of wisdom for daily living. This verse reminds readers of the importance of intentionality in their thoughts and actions, knowing that the heart is central to a godly life.
What are you allowing into your heart that might be holding you back? Take a moment to reflect on your media consumption, relationships, and habits. Ask God to help you make changes that will protect your heart and draw you closer to Him.
