One Life Makes a DifferenceSample

Noah
Genesis 6:6 & 8: So the Lord was sorry he had ever made them [people] and put them on the earth. It broke his heart...But Noah found favor with the Lord.
Can you imagine God's heart being so broken that He actually was sorry for making human beings? It's tragic that His creation could turn away from everything good. And yet, in all the chaos and confusion, there was one man who stood out, who when God called he answered; one man who saved humanity from obliteration.
Yes, one life makes a difference. But how did this one man overcome the filth and lies that surrounded him? By faith. "It was by faith that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about things that had never happened before. By his faith Noah condemned the rest of the world and he received the righteousness that comes by faith" (Hebrews 11:7).
Scripture tells us when we look for the Lord wholeheartedly we will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13). Noah is a great example of this. It took him 100 years to build the ark. Despite the ridicule and harassment he most likely received, he sought God and endured. God's mercy had to be on display, for during that 100 years we can be certain He was calling others to Him. But only one (who influenced his wife, sons and daughters-in-law to also obey) answered the call.
Application:
How would you respond if God called you to build or do something beyond your own abilities? Would you have faith to believe He would provide you with what was needed? If so, would you be that one who answers God’s call, even when everything is seemingly against you? Yes, be that one, and see what the Lord will do!
Prayer:
Lord, there are a lot of voices in this world telling us lies and leading us astray. Thank You for making a way to get out of the chaos and into your glorious light, the light of Jesus that shines into eternity and gives us strength to endure to the end.
