Grow in Faith: Renew Your MindSample

Renewing your mind
You can compare your thinking to a computer.
It is like a hard drive jammed throughout your life with viruses and the philosophies of this world. It is drenched in them, and it has wholly determined your view of the world and life.
In short, when all the information comes from the world, your computer is full of lies and junk.
You want to get rid of that so that you no longer think as the world thinks, but as God thinks.
You want to reprogram yourself, so to speak - erase your old thinking, defragment it, update it and reset it to factory settings.
So, “lie out” and “truth in.
And you do that by filling it with the Word of God: the renewing of your mind.
When you start “renewing” your mind with the Word of God, you'll discover what God's good, pleasing will is. You will be clothed with the new man created in Christ and by the image of God.
Ephesians 4:22-24:
“that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.”
You can begin to walk in that new man. When you do, you will find that more and more faith and victory will come into your life.
You will recognize the truth, and when you know the truth, you will recognize the lie.
Amen?
So firstly, it's key to start taking in the Word of God.
How? We'll discuss that tomorrow.
