What God Won't DoSample

God Will Never Break His Promises
Over the last few days, we’ve explored some powerful statements about God’s Character. They’re facts about God that we can find all throughout the Bible, but they’re also Promises God makes to us. And if there’s one thing about God, we know he never breaks his Promises.
The Bible teaches that God is trustworthy. Numbers 23:19 says “he does not lie” and “he does not change his mind.” That means that when God says he will never leave you, or that he will never stop loving you, he means it. Those things will always be true.
Here’s the thing - God doesn’t promise that our lives will be easy. John 16:33 makes it clear we will experience difficulties and sorrows. But there’s peace to be found in God’s other Promises - that he will be with us, that he will never abandon us, and that he is always working things out for our good.
It’s in these Promises that we can hold strong, confident that what he has spoken will come to pass. When doubts arise, we can remember that God's Word is unbreakable, providing a firm Anchor for our faith. How different this is from the rest of the world!
