God in the Midst of DepressionSample

Reflection:
Depression can make us feel isolated and forgotten, but this verse reminds us of a powerful truth: God is near to those who are hurting. He doesn’t ignore or diminish our pain; instead, He draws close to us with compassion and love. God’s heart is moved by our tears, and His presence offers comfort even in the darkest moments.
It’s easy to think that no one understands what you’re going through, but God does. Jesus Himself experienced pain, sadness, and loneliness during His time on earth. He knows your burdens and invites you to come to Him. You don’t need to hide your suffering; you can bring it to God, who is always ready to listen and uphold you.
Personal Application:
Today, take a few minutes to talk to God about how you feel. Be honest with Him. Write Him a letter or say a prayer sharing what’s in your heart. Remember, you are not alone; God is with you.
Reflection Questions:
- How does knowing God is near to you in your pain change your perspective?
- What steps can you take to draw closer to God and share your feelings with Him?
