Living in Increase (Part 2) - Increase in LoveSample

Week 3: Love People
Love Others
1 John 4:7-8 encourages us to love each other. As discussed in the first week of Increase in Love, regardless of how we feel toward other people, we can always love them through God’s miraculous love for us! The verb “love” in these verses is the original Greek word agapaō, God’s love in action. Because we, as believers, know God, we can show His love to other people!
The word agapaō, when directed to people, means “to welcome, to entertain, to be fond of, [and] to love dearly.” This week, we will discuss how we can love those around us and look into these four parts during the remainder of the week.
As we begin our study of increasing our love for people, be reminded that “we love because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19). Because God has shown incredible, sacrificial agape love to us, we are able to show incredible, sacrificial agape love to others!
