A Year in Luke/ActsSample

Chapter 15 gives us a unique insight into how the church dealt with key theological decisions and conflict. A Council meets in Jerusalem to discuss whether Gentile believers in Jesus needed to be circumcised. A question looming over this chapter is how will the Council respond to this issue that has been raised. We have seen how the Religious Councils in Jerusalem have so far responded with questions and challenges, it has resulted in their authority being directly challenged by Jesus. Will the followers of Jesus fall into the twin traps of either being unwilling to listen and see where the Spirit is bringing change, or allowing any changes to happen with no reflection on Scripture?
