A Year in Luke/ActsSample

In Acts chapter 4, the Jewish leaders describe the apostles as “untrained” and “uneducated” men. But the most important part of who the apostles are is what the Jewish leaders notice next… “they had been with Jesus.”
This short phrase speaks volumes about the life that God desires to share with us. All the education and knowledge in the world mean nothing compared to a personal relationship with God. On our spiritual journey, our highest priority should always be drawing close to the Father in a deep personal relationship.
This chapter shows a beautiful example of what happens when a life is fully surrendered to God. Hurting people are healed. Highly educated men are left speechless. Believers are filled with freedom, courage, and songs of praise.
Spend some time in prayer after reading today, and reflect on this question.
In your own relationship with God, is there something deeper that God might be calling you to?
