4 Prayers for Foster ParentsSample

Pray for Healing
In the foster world, you will see and feel much heartache and brokenness. When you sign up to be a foster parent, you sign up to be up close and personal with the most broken parts of another family's story.
But their story isn’t over yet.
One of the best things you can do for the children in your care and the biological families that you intertwined your life with is to pray for their healing.
No one is too broken for God’s healing touch. No trauma is beyond the repair of God’s hands. No one is too damaged to be renewed. Nothing is too messed up for God to restore. No story is too deprived to be redeemed.
In Psalm 147:3, we are told that God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Let’s believe that for the children in our care today. Let’s pray for healing over their wounds today and every day moving forward.
Today, pray this prayer: “God, please bring healing for each child that comes into my care. Heal their body, soul, and mind. Make their story one of redemption and restoration. Don’t let their trauma define them; build them up in Christ and heal their wounds.”
