Jesus: Hope for the FutureSample

Life can be particularly discouraging at times. But we can find hope in the Great I Am. In Exodus chapter 3 we see a conversation between Moses and God. Moses is nervous about going to stand against Pharaoh to bring the Israelites out of captivity.
God speaks to him so clearly, and boldly when Moses asks him who should he say sent him. God tells Moses I AM WHO I AM...tell them I AM has sent you.
It can be difficult to understand what this means, or even what it has to do with your particular situation. But the clarity comes in verse 15 when God says, "The Lord,[the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you."
These scriptures are a reminder of who God is. He is the God who kept his promise to Abraham. He is the God who spared Isaac's life. He is the God who forgave Jacob. And this is the same God that we serve today, even in the midst of our distress. We have hope in the Great I Am. And I encourage you today and every day to remind yourself of the miracles captured in scripture and in your own life.
