Living in Increase (Part 12) - Increase in FocusSample

The Great Commission
At the end of the Book of Matthew, Jesus gives what is coined as the “Great Commission” to His disciples. He provides them distinct instructions to “go” and “make disciples of all the nations.” This process also includes “baptizing them” in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He asks them to teach these new disciples to obey His commands. Then, He encourages them, saying He will always be with them.
The Great Commission that Jesus gave His disciples still applies to us today. Even if we don’t “go” to a different country, we can still make disciples and spread the love of Jesus to those around us. We can encourage people to take the next steps in their walk with Christ, like being water baptized or volunteering at their local church. We can teach them Christ’s instruction by sharing Scripture. As we share the Gospel with people and disciple them, we know that Jesus is right there with us, giving us wisdom and direction!

Action Step: Think of one person you can disciple (share the Gospel, encourage next steps, share Scripture, etc.). Call or text them to set up a time to meet.
