God promised throughout the Old Testament that a Messiah would come to save the Israelites. He made covenants (special promises) to Abraham and David. He told Abraham that through him, all the people of the world would be blessed. God promised David that a king would come through his family who would rule over God's people forever. Jesus fulfilled both of those promises - and all of the other promises about a Messiah in the Old Testament!
Let's pray, thanking God for the plan He had to rescue all of us from sin. Let's praise Him for being such a faithful God and for keeping His promises!
