You Can Do Hard ThingsSample

Develop Your Skills
Have you ever just stopped and appreciated the beauty and glory of God’s creation? What artistry and skill He exhibits with every detail—whether it’s the exquisite vibrancy of a cardinal’s feathers, the unique features of a caterpillar, or the breathtaking beauty of a newborn baby, each creature shows intricate care and attention. We’re made in God’s image. We’re creative too! Whatever your gift, it’s worth it to put in the extra time to become a master at your skill. Some of us want to relax into our natural talents without developing them. But it honors God to be the best we can be for Him. What God-given skills do you possess? Are you an artist, a cook, a teacher? Can you organize things better than most? Do you have a gift with small children or a knack for numbers? Practice those skills. Become the go-to person for your area of expertise. Put in the time and hard work. Do your best and give all the credit to God.
Prayer: What special skills have You given me, Lord? Show me how to use the gifts You created in me to serve others and bring You glory. Everything I am is Yours.
