Take a BowSample

When did you last look in the mirror and love everything you saw? If you’re honest, you probably can’t even think of a time you didn’t find the tiniest of flaws in your reflection. As humans, this is easy for us to do. From the top of our heads to the tips of our toes, we tend to pick ourselves apart in almost every way we can. Instead of confidence or humility, we choose self-deprecation. Well, the good news is, even though it’s human nature to be self-critical, it doesn’t have to be our nature as followers of God.
When God looks at us, God doesn’t see any flaws or failures. God simply sees a masterpiece—an incredible work made by God for an incredible purpose. No matter what anyone else thinks about us—no matter what we think of ourselves—this is where we can find our confidence.
Today, write the word “MASTERPIECE” on your mirror. Let it be the truth that settles over you every time you look in the mirror. You’re a masterpiece in God’s eyes, and that is where your confidence comes from.
