Be HumbleSample

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT BELOW
Have you ever done something to see how other people respond? Maybe you yelled something in class to get a laugh, ate food that fell on the ground to gross out your sibling, or went for the trick shot on the court to impress the crowd. The truth is we spend a lot of time doing things with ourselves in mind. We try things that make us look good, impress other people, or just give us attention. When we think of other people, we’re really just thinking about how to get them to think about us!
In Scripture, Paul tells us to look out for other people in a different way. We’re called to consider them in a way that serves and cares for them. A way that doesn’t make us the star of the show but instead benefits the other person. When we do that, we’re choosing humility in the same way Jesus did.
Today, keep your eyes open for moments where you can look out for someone else.
