Disciples of JesusSample

Love for Others Inspired by Jesus’ Love for Us
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:34-35 (ESV).
A mark of a disciple of Jesus is having love for others inspired by God’s love for them. Jesus calls us to love others with the same selfless and sacrificial love he has for us. This love is the hallmark of true discipleship and a powerful witness to the world. It is through our genuine love for others that people recognize us as followers of Christ.
Consider how you can show Christ-like love to someone in your life today. What practical steps can you take to reflect Jesus’ love in your interactions?
Prayer: Father God, Thank you for loving me unconditionally. Help me to reflect your love in my interactions with others. Teach me to love selflessly and sacrificially, just as Jesus loves me. Let my love be a testimony of my discipleship to those around me. In Jesus name, Amen.
