Jesus Gave ThanksSample

At the Last Supper When He Knew He Had Been Betrayed by Judas
For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, ‘This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.’ In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.’ For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. 1 Corinthians 11:23-26 (ESV).
Knowing the betrayal and suffering that lay ahead, Jesus still gave thanks at the Last Supper. His gratitude in the face of betrayal and impending sacrifice exemplifies the power of thanksgiving even in the darkest times, turning pain into a pathway for salvation.
How do you respond to betrayal and impending challenges? Can you find the strength to give thanks in these moments?
Prayer: Father God, please help me to find gratitude even in the face of betrayal and hardship. May my thanksgiving be a testament to my faith in your greater plan and purposes. In Jesus name, Amen.
